St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance provides food boxes to those in need…
Recently, the TruPath team had their first of what we hope to be many volunteer experiences with St. Mary’s Food Bank. We participated in the Emergency Food Box Pack & Sort at their Del Webb Warehouse facility.
It’s so easy to get involved. We simply coordinated a date and time with the staff, followed the basic directions, and arrived with smiles. Another plus?! This particular opportunity is FREE for groups of up to 130.
St. Mary’s Food Bank is one of the largest food banks in the United States. Because of generous volunteers, they’re able to provide more than 250,000 meals daily to those in need throughout our community. Volunteer opportunities range from individual to group events.
If you are looking for your next team volunteer activity, consider the following St. Mary’s opportunities: Emergency Food Box Pack & Sort, Food Box Distribution, Kids Café Meal Preparation or Production Line & Reclamation. In our short time there, we filled 1,080 boxes and built 14 pallets totaling 15,120 lbs! This is equivalent to 15,120 meals. Team members were even asking if we could do two shifts in the future.
