Our latest employee spotlight is on Senior Recruiter, Chris McKay. Chris in his 7th year at TruPath and has been with us through various stages of growth. Throughout his own career, his varied background has helped shape his approach to recruiting. He has an unfailingly positive attitude that helps keep us all up through the highs and lows of the day.

One thing people don’t know about me? I can speak Spanish fairly well.
I am awesome because? I have a genuinely positive outlook on life.
My first vehicle was? A maroon Toyota 4×4 pickup. I loved that truck! We had many off-road adventures.
What is your happy place? Spending time with my family.
Above all others, this person inspires me the most? My grandfather
My favorite food is? Almost anything Mexican!
How did you find out about TruPath? I had reached a growth cap at my last job and was searching potential new opportunities. I came across an opening for a Bilingual Recruiter with high volume manufacturing experience. It sounded like a great fit, so I applied and was happily surprised when I received a call back that same day. After several interviews, I was invited to become part of a team that would change my life.
Favorite thing about what I do? The fulfillment of connecting great people with great opportunities. I know what it’s like to feel stuck in a job that does not make you happy and there is a tremendous sense of accomplishment that comes with connecting the right candidate to the right role.
I enjoy working at TruPath because? If you ask any of my co-workers, they know that I’ve had many different jobs in a variety of industries throughout my career. We laugh about it but I honestly think that those unique and varied experiences have played a huge part in my success here. With that being said, although I have worked in a variety of different environments, I have never been a part of such a positive team culture where growth, creativity, and initiative are so encouraged and rewarded.
The TruPrinciple that speaks to me the most? Growth and learning mindset is my favorite TruPrinciple because it breeds progress. Continually striving to be better at what you do, taking on new challenges and constantly developing yourself in all areas of your life, both professionally and personally, makes every day a new adventure.
What advice do you have for an aspiring Recruiter? Do your research! Preparation goes so far in this industry. Also, be adaptable and don’t be afraid to make mistakes as you go forward. You’ll learn the best lessons through trial and error.
The most challenging part of my role is? The unpredictability of people. At the end of the day, we are all only human and sometimes life just happens.
Why is TruPath special or how are we different? We are a small team specializing in filling difficult roles for our customers by providing focused service towards learning what those roles are and learning how potential candidates will fit into that criteria.
