TruPath recruiters partner with clients all across the United States. And, although TruPath is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, many of TruPath’s placements occur outside of the state. TruPath recruiters love sharing their tips on how to recruit from anywhere in the world.
The Client’s Need:
A manufacturer in South Carolina was in dire need of an HR Manager. This HRM works directly with the Director of HR who resides out-of-state. The company is currently making changes in the plant that are dramatically affecting the facility’s culture. So, our partner requires a Human Resources Manager who has experience with change management. It’s important that this person has the experience and is prepared to take on a challenging role with a tremendous amount of responsibility.
TruPath’s Recruiting Strategy:
Resumes reflect a set of skills and outline experience. They also often reflect what an individual values about their job. Two people may have a very similar job (or job title) but have completely different resumes. Most likely it’s because they value different aspects of their role, prioritize different responsibilities, or achieve different results. Because leading cultural change is an important part of this particular role, TruPath recruiters focused on this component when reviewing resumes. They started with local human resources talent. First, speaking to these individuals on the phone. Then, reviewing resumes of those interested in moving forward. TruPath recruiters looked for profiles and resumes in the area that used the word “culture” when describing their roles. When screening and assessing talent, TruPath recruiters highlighted any aspects of the role that may be considered negative (change can be hard) to see who shied away and who jumped with excitement at the challenge.
The Result of Partnership:
TruPath recruiters found a very professional local candidate who does indeed value culture! She also has a tremendous amount of change management experience. The timing of this role aligns well with her professional path as she was open to learning about new roles in her area. She values collaboration, growth, and moving forward as a team towards success. She sees all these components and tremendous opportunity in this new role with a growing company. Additionally, she and the Director of HR clicked immediately! They have a natural connection and look forward to a fruitful partnership.
